About Ildebrando D'Arcangelo
Ildebrando D’Arcangelo is considered to be one of the nevýraznějších singers of his generation. Ildebrando D’Arcangelo, won in 1989 and 1991 in the international competition “Toti dal Monte” in Treviso, Italy. Today he is a regular guest at La Scala in Milan, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, London’s Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and Paris Opéra Bastille, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and at festivals in Salzburg, Baden-Baden and Florence. His extensive repertoire includes Opera by Bellini, Berlioz, Boito, Donizetti, Handel, Stravinsky, Verdi, Mozart and Rossini; some of them have been released on DVD for Deutsche Grammophon, Decca and Virgin. Recently, Ildebrando D’Arcangelo introduced mj. in the operas Don Giovanni at the Los Angeles Opera, Don Pasquale at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Cinderella and Le nozze di Figaro in Vienna and in the new production of Don Giovanni at the Salzburg Festival. His upcoming commitments are Le nozze di Figaro at the Berlin State Opera, Don Giovanni in Salzburg and in San Francisco, Attila in Bilbao, Cinderella and Simon Boccanegra in Vienna, Simon Boccanegra in Barcelona, the Turk in Italy, Semiramide, and Don Giovanni in London.
