Ida the Young
Ida the Young is an indie folk band from Pilsen. Apart from the founding duo Iris Hobson-Mazur (vocals) and Marek Koliha (guitar), the band currently consists of Filip Simon (drums), Jakub Richtárech (keyboards, bass) and Pavel Kielberger (guitar, bass).
In their music, this young Pilsen band, in their own words, combines “intimate, straightforward vocals and captivating lyrics, as well as colourful instrumentation in which they are not afraid to mix genres”. Their debut EP, Strange Shaped Flowers, released in 2023, is the band's debut so far, combining influences of folk and Americana. Their second EP Silver Thing was released in May 2024, where they take a more electronic direction.
