Spectacle on the basis of _Apocryphal Tales_ Karel Čapka.
Karel Čapek (1890-1938) is a Czech novelist and playwright. His open-minded writing made him one of the pioneers of science fiction. Moreover, Čapek was one of the first to predict in his works the dangers of fascist ideology and the dangers to European democracy. Čapek was the first in the world to use and propagate the word “robot” in his works.
In Apocryphal Tales he refers to the most important historical roots of European culture (Bible, Mythology, Shakespeare, biographies of the great rulers of the old continent). In comparison with the most important events for our cultural circle, Čapek is looking for the truth about the simple man, his imperfections to what is great and the nobility beating from human simplicity. All of this is accompanied by typical Czech humour.
