I Heart Sharks

I Heart Sharks is a German-British band from Berlin. The band's members who come from New York City, London and Bavaria, met in their common adopted home city Berlin and founded the band I Heart Sharks there in 2007. The first EP Wolves was released in July 2010 on the label Laserlaser, which is distributed by Rough Trade. In the same year, the band performed at the Immergut Festival. In 2011, I Heart Sharks released first the single Neuzeit on AdP Records, in October the album Summer followed, which was recorded autonomously by the band and partly funded by fans.

I Heart Sharks make electronic music, also called electropop and indietronic and is suitable for dancing. The texts are mostly sung in English, only in the song Neuzeit there's also a German part of the lyrics, although with a strong accent. The style of I Heart Sharks is often compared to Friendly Fires.

In 2018, the band announcedd that they would end their career after a farewell-tour in the same year.
