Heather Nova

Bermuda-born singer-songwriter Heather Nova spent the first 16 years of her life on a saiboat built by her father, travelling the world. During that time, she listened incessantly to her mother's records, with her greatest admiration for artists such as Patti Smith and Kate Bush, which shaped her sound. She made her debut in 1994 with the album Oyster, which proved a success mainly in continental Europe, where Nova became a regular on the charts. Since then she has released 11 studio albums, including a poetry one.
