Hazel Iris

Alternative/Indie, Contemporary folk | Hazel Iris is an avant-pop and indie-folk artist from California. She weaves lyrics and instrumentation together to create sonic tapestries of social and emotional commentary á la Kate Bush, Joan Baez and Tori Amos. With a background in classical music, her work is inspired by the richly-layered storytelling patterns in chanson and folk, her ghostly sound leading to a journey of feminist and existential exploration. In 2018 she released her debut record Nine Sisters.
