Guided Tour of the Brummel House

The tour focuses on the reconstruction of the original one-storey house with a historicist façade into a two-generation dwelling for Mr. and Mrs. Hedwig Liebstein Brummel. It begins in a stair hall modelled on Goethe's house in Weimar, followed by a hallway with a food preparation area, a bedroom with built-in furniture and a cherry wood wardrobe, behind which is a spacious bathroom. Passing back through a small hallway reveals the living rooms with a monumental fireplace and a terrace overlooking the pear tree canopy. The so-called enfilade connects other rooms – the dining room and Mrs. Liebstein's blue parlor with the bedroom.
