Golden Gate

Golden Gate is a techno club in Berlin-Mitte, located in a bridge pier of the Berlin Stadtbahn in the immediate vicinity of Berlin-Jannowitzbrücke station. According to the Resident Advisor magazine, it is one of the most important clubs in Berlin in the field of electronic music.

At the same time, Golden Gate is one of Berlin's rawest clubs: the interior is small, dark and undecorated. The club is known for its exceptionally long opening hours, even for Berlin. The music is mostly tech-house, usually played by Berlin DJs, but also internationally known names like Gerald Simpson or Dirty Doering.

The Golden Gate was founded in 2002, at the beginning with a mixed program, which also included concerts with rock'n'roll. Later, however, it focused mainly on afterhour parties. The club has repeatedly been the subject of national and international coverage. Among others, the New York Times lists the club as an example that Berliners still like to party in ruins.
