GoGo Penguin
Electronic, Jazz | Combining skittering breakbeats, minimalist piano and subtle electronics, post-jazz trio GoGo Penguin formed in Manchester in 2012, citing Brian Eno, John Cage, Aphex Twin and Massive Attack as inspirations. In 2014, their second album v2.0 was nominated for the Mercury Prize; they have since signed to the iconic jazz imprint Blue Note and have become one of the more important groups in the poppy branch of contemporary jazz. They currently have eight albums to their credit, the most recent of which is 2022's release. Between Two Waves.
