Gioli & Assia
Producers, composers, singers and multi-instrumentalists Gioli (Giorgia Lipari) and Assia (Assia Navia) first collaborated as artist and manager, in November 2016 they founded their own music label called Diesis Records and in April 2017 they presented themselves as the duo Gioli & Assia.
The artists launched their career in 2017 with their first single Stay Closer. In March 2018, they released their debut album Istantanee, with lead single Starry Nights. Two months later, the duo released the single Something Special on Spinnin' Records, which brought them enough attention to get their first Ibiza residency at Privilege, the biggest superclub in the world. The duo Giolì & Assia were so inspired by Ibiza that they released their second album in 2018 Night Experience on their own label Diesis Records. In April 2019, Giolì & Assia launched #DiesisLive, a live stream on Youtube and Facebook that showcased their explosive liveact, combining electronic music with live instruments and singing. In May, the band launched the second edition of #DiesisLive on top of a volcano in the Aeolian Islands.
A shared love of house and tech made it natural for the pair to encompass club-heavy beats into their sound. Further influences from Coldplay to Alt J to The Chainsmokers informed how they approached their unique hybrid sound. Each show is fully live and improvised in the moment so unique every time, but there is also a hybrid show with Assia singing as Giolì lays down a mix of the Afro house, techno and underground tech the pair love so much.
Through their music and art, Giolì & Assia hope to raise awareness about the philanthropic goals of wildlife conservation and children's health care for organisations such as WWF and Unicef.
