Gdansk City Gallery 1
Gdansk City Gallery 1 focuses on exhibitions of young artists and solo acts of recognized creators. The intimate, concentration-demanding space just off a busy street is an alternative to mass tourist attractions. The innovative, often experimental nature of the programme presented at GGM1 offers an insight into the latest trends in contemporary art. Among its other actions, the gallery conducts the programme Głęboka woda [Deep Water] aimed at preparing students to function in the art environment. Every year, it also presents an exhibition that is a special prize of the Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts competition. This place allows for a very individual, personal contact with the art presented there. Gdansk City Gallery 1 is curated by Gabriela Warzycka-Tutak.
