Venue description

Dittrich & Schlechtriem is a gallery founded in 2011 that is located at Linienstraße at Berlin-Mitte since 2017. The gallery was founded by the entrepreneur Lars Dittrich and André Schlechtriem, the former curator of the Judith Rothschild Foundation Contemporary Drawing Collection in New York.

The focus of the gallery Dittrich & Schlechtriem lies on conceptual contemporary art with a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, video, installation and performance.

With up to eight exhibitions yearly the gallery cultivates substantial relationships with German and international collectors. In addition to facilitating the publishing of artist monographs, exhibition catalogs, and commissioned essays, Dittrich & Schlechtriem regularly engages with institutional and curatorial projects.

Represented artists are included in worldwide biennials and significant museum collections and exhibitions such as La Biennale di Venezia, Palais de Tokyo, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art in New York and Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlinische Galerie and Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, among others.

Besides, Dittrich & Schlechtriem regularly takes part in major art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Cologne, ExpoChicago and more.
