Galakoncert Dvořák

The gala concert featuring works by Antonín Dvořák will take place on 15 November 2025 at Grandhotel Pupp.

An evening of music that has shaped Czech cultural identity and still resonates in hearts and memories. The Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Jiří Štrunc, will present Dvořák’s melodies in which tenderness, longing and a dance‑like lilt converge.

In a single evening, you will hear three facets of Dvořák’s music: the Largo from Symphony No. 9, From the New World– a slow journey through a wide landscape where quiet yearning meets the comfort of home; Rusalka’s Song to the Moon, casting a silver beam across the water and a hushed plea that turns into a gentle incantation; and the Slavonic Dances, with their whirl of rhythms, a sparkle in the eye and joy that spills over into applause.
