Flunk is a legend of Norwegian alternative music. Flunk’s concert will be part of their European tour promoting the latest release of the Norwegian group Chemistry & Math. Flunk is a combination of electronic music, pop, downtempo and trip hop. Their concerts are extremely thrilling. Their albums are released by the famous Beat Service label (Biosphere, Mind over Midi). The characteristic vocalist’s voice combined with cold, guitar-electronic music do their job. The band was formed in 2000, during joint sessions of Nygaard and Bakke, who wanted to create a noncommittal instrumental-sampled material. In 2001, Vidar Hanssen, representing Beat Service, became interested in the musicians' work and offered the duo a record deal. They released their first single Blue Monday, which was at the same time the coverer of the great hit of New Order. In the spring of 2002, the time came for a full-length album. For Sleepyheads Only - melancholic, trip-hop music seasoned with the vocalist’s original voice met with a warm reception not only in Norway. The band recorded a special session for the BBC London radio and signed an agreement with Guidance Records. Flunk’s music has gained many fans to this day, and BeatService label released new albums of the band. They gave concerts in China, the United States and all over Europe. They gained great popularity in Poland, becoming one of the most popular Scandinavian groups.
