Music in Old Krakow is one of the oldest Polish festivals, which this year will take place for the 43rd time. Cultural traditions gathered around Krakow create an aura particularly conducive to music. Eminent European composers such as H. Finck, L. Marenzio, D. Cato worked here, G. Palestrina, G. Ph. Telemann, J. S. Bach dedicated their works to Polish kings, while Liszt, Brahms, Paderewski, Rubinstein gave concerts. The Music in Old Cracow Festival refers to these great pages of the history of Krakow’s culture. In addition to famous artists, young talented musicians are invited to take part in the Festival, at the beginning of their careers. The programme of the Music Festival in Stary Krakow includes music from the earliest to the present. Concerts take place in various historic interiors of old Krakow.
