About Ezra Furman

Ezra Furman is an American musician and songwriter. Since 2017, he has appeared with the band “Ezra Furman and the Visions”, which previously called itself “Ezra Furman & the Boy-Friends”. Prior to that, he was a frontman of “Ezra Furman and the Harpoons”. In May 2015, “Ezra Furman and the Boy-friends” appeared on the BBC show Later with Jools Holland, reaching a wide audience. With the album Perpetual Motion People, which appeared in the summer of 2015 on the London label Bella Union, Furman finally managed the commercial breakthrough. In the British charts, the album reached number 23, the music webzine Gigwise named it album of the year. In 2016, Furman, who now lives with his partner in Oakland, California, announced a musical change of style following the EP Big Fugitive Life (Bella Union). This was also expressed in the renaming of the band in The Visions. On February 9, 2018, the first album Transangelic Exodus appeared under the name “Ezra Furman and The Visions”. On May 21, 2019, Calm Down aka I Should Not Be Alone was the first released single of the next album 12 Nudes.
