The Group International Exhibition Feminist avantgarde will present the extraordinary works of artists who formed a feminist theme in the 1970s and 1990s.

The work on emancipation topics from the private Austrian collection Sammlung Verbund comes from world-renowned artists and authors of the country in which the collection is just being presented. The file shows a woman's image in photographs, drawings, videos, movies, and objects. The theme is their own body and questions of self-determination, female identity. Part of their work is often a provocative, radical, poetic and ironic approach.

The exhibition began its journey in Europe in 2014 at the Bozar Museum in Brussels, continued to Munich, Milan, Vienna, Karlsruhe, and in Brno its journey will end. It will be accompanied by a conference that compares generational approaches to the feminine emancipation movement and creation in the Czech Republic as opposed to Western Europe and the United States of America.
