Eva Be

After a youth surrounded by music, Eva Be, who was born in East Berlin, began diving into the re-united city's club landscape in 1995. Hereby, the Delicious Doughnuts club in Berlin-Mitte has been a defining place for her career. At Delicious Doughnuts she met the members of the group Jazzanova who would take an intense impact on Eva's musical development.

Soon she began organizing her own club night at Akba Club, experimenting with music and defining her very own sound at the turntables. Quickly, regular gigs at venues such as Cookies, WMF or Café Moskau followed, with Eva presenting her mixture of dub, trip hop, breakbeat, drum'n'bass and experimental electronic music.

Alongside artists from the growing scene around Jazzanova, Dixon, Eva Be and other musicians, the legendary Sonar Kollektiv evolved; a collective, that has released style-defining records.

As a resident of the early Watergate club in Berlin she played back to back with many renowned artists, while touring through Europe with the band project Ye:Solar and releasing her solo debut album, Moving Without Traveling, which demonstrates her love for dub and reggae sounds.

After a baby break in 2007, Eva returned to the club scene adding more house music to her repertoire.

In 2013, Eva met Clé and they formed their joint project LoYoTo, merging their shared love for underground house music and dub.
