Eufonie is a music festival that refers to the tradition of the regional community of most of the countries nowadays referred to as Central and Eastern Europe, stretching from the Balkans, through Romania and Austria, the Visegrad Group countries, Ukraine and Belarus, to the Baltic States, sometimes extending to Scandinavia. This area is a fascinating melting pot of clashing influences of East and West, bubbling with cultural energy, which sometimes determined the identity of nations without their own countries.

This year's edition of the International Festival of East-Central Europe Eufonie will focus on the period of Romanticism, in which, apart from new forms and genres, the composers' interest in native folklore was evident. The focus on the traditional cultural heritage of individual countries was most evident in the work of representatives of the so-called national schools. These were composers whose music reflected national identity through references to historical events or folk themes. You will be able to hear, among others, compositions by the Finnish composer Jan Sibelius, the Norwegian Edward Grieg called "Chopin of the North", and Czech composers: Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček.

Concerts will be available live in concert halls and through streaming.
