The Centre for Culture and Art in Konin has been the Institution of Culture of the Self-Government of the Wielkopolska Region since 21 September 1999. Jadwiga Kujawińska has been a director since 1993, since the beginning of her professional career she has been associated with this institution and in the years 2012-2018 Elżbieta Barszcz. Currently, Justyna Kałużyńska-Markocka is the director. Institution, in accordance with the Statute, takes care of the development and promotion of the amateur artistic movement.
