Embryo + support: Milad Khawam

When it comes to fusing traditional ethnic music with jazzy space rock, the Munich-based band Embryo does not fool anyone. For 50 years, Christian Buchard’s group was considered an original force in Krautrock. Nowadays his daughter Marja sets the beat and provides no less innovative grooves and energetic beats that bring the magic of the past directly onto the stages of the present. In May 2020 they will perform at SO36 as part of the XJazz Festival.
