Ekuz
The band was formed in the summer of 2019 in Warsaw. The motivic and vigorous compositions of the guitarist, Igor Wisniewski, were consistently transformed and deconstructed from rehearsal to rehearsal by Grzegorz Tarwid and Krzysztof Szmańda. Their first shows in the winter of 2020 were conceptual, trance-inducing and danceable. Spotted at one of them by producer Albert Karch, they decided to work with him on their debut album. Pandemic time allowed the band to work long and demanding hours in and out of the studio. The result was the album Gardening / Welding, on which—as critic Bartek Chaciński wrote—stylistic twists and turns are as many as in a good TV series.
