Edhi Alice

The protagonists are 2 Korean trans women: Edhi is a queer activist, Alice a lighting supervisor on a traditionally male film crew. Neither has felt like a man since birth. Now adults, they embark on a new life. Both wanted to transition badly. Life afterwards has finally brought not only joy and self-happiness but also unexpected troubles and distress. What will it be like to go into a women’s changing room for the first time? How will their choice be received by their family and colleagues?

The narrative is a collage of intimate confessions about the search for the right self in the right body, insights into difficult life situations, and ultimately a testimony to the process of making the documentary itself.
