Duo De Kleer

Duo De Kleer, father and son, play gypsy & traditional music on guitar and ukulele. The duo focus on especially music from the Balkan, but play also a lot of Spanish/Latin music and Swing in the style of Django Reinhardt.

Miguel has already played with many artists. He played for example with The RosenbergTrio when he was 12 on national television, the Nadarra Gypsy Weddingband from Transsylvania and many more. Miguel is already a professional performer with his father as a duo.

Father Frank traveled the world as a musician and magician. He accompanied the Belgian chansonnière Micheline Van Hautem for 8 years in her Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf program. With this program they won the Fringe-award at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. With his Spanish group he played several times for the Dutch Royal family and played at the wedding of princes Margarita de Bourbon de Parma.

Nowadays he is studying Balkan music, especially Transsylvanian folk and gypsymusic and is especially known as a teacher of folk and gypsymusic on both the ukulele and Spanish guitar.
