Dragonforce's Through the Fire and Flames is notoriously the hardest track to play in Guitar Hero; this outlines the ouvre of the British power metal stalwart well enough for any layperson to know that they're about. Inspired by 8-bit video game soundtracks, fantasy literature and guitar virtuosity, they have been called 'Nintendo metal', 'Journey meets Slayer' and 'Bon Jovi on speed'. Active since 1999, Dragonforce have released eight studio albums, received gold certifications and a Grammy nomination, and are considered one of power metal's 'big four', with Helloween, Blind Guardian and Sabaton.
