Ondřej Holý aka dné created his first song in February 2008. He recorded it on the microphone of his laptop. A year later he released his first EP Talking With Crayons, publicly and for free. Since then, dné has been playing frequently with fellow artist Kryštof Hanzlík and other bands such as Handsome Furs, The Album Leaf, and Icy Demons.
His debut album These Semi Feelings, They Are Everywhere was released in 2016. This album is much more based on classical instruments than digital ones, and escapes from electronica to ambient and contemporary classical. It was released on the German label Majestic Casual and managed to garner positive reviews in the international music press. It was followed by the ambient album Nothing Like Before (2018). dné has also collaborated with Handsome Furs, The Album Leaf, Icy Demons, and James Blackshaw, as well as performing at the Creepy Teepee festival.
In 2023, producer Ondřej Holý returned with a new full-length album Basic Living as a follow-up to his acclaimed debut, These Semi Feelings, They Are Everywhere. The album is again full of soft beats and ambient surfaces, but it approaches the motif of ordinary living from a different side.
