Dizzee Rascal
Dizzee Rascal, whose real name is Dylan Kwabena Mills, is a British rapper, producer, and musician from East London. In the early 2000s, he was one of the leading figures of the grime scene, which emerged from London’s underground music scene through a fusion of garage, hip-hop, and electronic music. He gained wider recognition with his debut album Boy in da Corner, released in 2003, for which he received the Mercury Prize. This was followed by the albums Showtime (2004), Maths + English (2007), Tongue n’ Cheek (2009), The Fifth (2013), Raskit (2017), E3 AF (2020), and Don’t Take It Personal (2024).
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Calvin Harris, Arctic Monkeys, Shakira, and Robbie Williams, and has also made a name for himself with singles like Fix Up, Look Sharp, I Luv U, Bonkers, Dance Wiv Me, and Holiday. In his work, he has long combined grime, hip hop, UK garage, drum and bass, and electronic music.
His current work is represented by the singles C U Dance and Do It!, released in 2026, which follow up on the album Don’t Take It Personal and other electronically oriented projects.
