About Dimitar Bodurov
Dimitar Bodurov is a Bulgarian pianist, composer and producer, currently established in Amsterdam (Netherlands). Its solid foundations – both in jazz improvisation and classical composition – in combination with the love of folklore and its authentic music shaped the electronic manuscript.
As a pianist performs Bodurov actively in the Netherlands and in Europe in the role of leader, teammates and visiting pianist. Bodurov is the holder of several awards, the last is the appointment in the Martial Solal Jazz Solo Piano Competition 2010. Bodurov is the author of several albums. Bodurova trio CD “Stamps from Bulgaria” from the year 2008 in the prestigious journal Volkskrant ranking among the 10 best CD in Holland. The last recording with Challenge Records “Seven Stamps” from the year 2013 is the famous Bulgarian kavalistu Theodosii Spassova. As a composer composes Bodurov mostly Chamber music for various occasions. For the Gergiev Festival Rotterdam, Sofia Music Weeks, Musique Classique Amiens, LeineRoebana Dance group, Operadagen Rotterdam Holland Festival and wrote the songs to order. In 2012, composed the music for the Opera Lilith – a multilateral American soprano Claron renowned production McFadden, which premiered at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam.
