The daughter of the well-known psychiatrist Victor Larenz disappears without a trace under mysterious circumstances. He retreats to a lonely island to find himself again. When the author Anna Spiegel visits him to ask for therapy, he discovers parallels to his missing daughter in Anna's descriptions.
