Dave Hause & The Mermaid

Dave's musical past is firmly rooted in hardcore, he has played in various bands and worked as a roadie for Sick Of It All and The Bouncing Souls. After taking on the role of lead singer and lead songwriter for the first time in 2004 with his own punk band The Loved Ones, he started his solo career six years later by releasing four studio albums and joining Chuck Ragan, Dan Adriano and Brian Fallon in 2011 He then toured with his band The Mermaid and received his own Rockpalast record.

"September Haze" is heralding a new chapter in his career. The EP features three new songs that draw their melancholy longings from a reduced instrumentation and home 'smoky voice, as well as an acoustic version of' Shake Jesus' and a cover version of Brandi Carlile's' Hold Out Your Hand '. He had played these songs together with his brother Tim for the first time on tour in 2018. "People have reacted so intensely," says home. "I had the feeling of having to record and share them." As a newlywed father, home is facing an eventful year in 2019 and his fifth studio album has been completed.
