Dainius Pavilionis

Dainius Pavilionis is a Lithuanian conductor. In 1989, he won the B. Dvarionas Piano Competition, even before he began his studies in conducting, took third place in 2006 in the IV International Witold Lutosławski Young Conductors Competition in Białystok, and the year later won the G. Fitelberg International Competition for Conductors. Since winning these distinctions, Dainius Pavilionis has often been invited to conduct many symphonic and chamber orchestras from many European countries. Between 2010 and 2015 he was chief conductor of the Klaipeda State Music Theatre. Since 2006 he has been working as the second conductor of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Orchestra and is an associate professor at the Chair of Symphony and Opera Conducting of LMTA.
