Dafȏ

Poland's first female string quartet, Dafȏ has been active since 1993; it has won two Fryderyks for its recordings of Polish 20th century music, including string quartets by G. Bacewicz, T. Baird, K. Penderecki, H. M. Górecki, K. Meyer and P. Szymanski. Since its inception, Dafȏ has been fascinated by the performance of contemporary music and has won numerous awards for it. Their repertoire also includes chamber works of various eras, also quintets, sextets, octets and concertos for quartet and orchestra. Dafȏ consists of Justyna Duda-Krane (violin), Danuta Augustyn (violin), Aneta Dumanowska-Bogacz (viola) and Anna Armatys-Borelli (cello).
