About Daði Freyr
Daði Freyr Pétursson is an Icelandic electro musician and singer living in Berlin.
In 2012 Freyr founded the indie electro band RetRoBot, with which he released an album. In 2014 he moved to Berlin to study music production. In 2017, he took part in the Icelandic preliminary decision Söngvakeppnin for the Eurovision Song Contest and took second place with his self-composed electro title _Is This Love? _. In 2020 he won the preliminary decision with his song Think About Things. He was accompanied by the Gagnamagnið group, which also included his wife Árný Fjóla and his sister Sigrún. After the victory, he was to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, which had to be canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
