The first edition of an exceptional folk event. To warm up, there will be workshops on traditional Slavic, Nordic and Balkan dances organized by masters of traditional dance from Poland and Belarus, with live music – conducted by Michał Bryska, Alicja Polańska, Alicja Polańska, Aliaksej and Anastasia Burnosenka. The workshop is a great opportunity for all participants to learn about the basic dance steps and to integrate together. After a short dance warm-up, a concert of harpist Joanna Kamińska and violinist Adrianna Kuczyńska will take place – together they form Chordis Duo. The highlight of the evening will be guests from Belarus – Katsiaryna Mankevich and Yauheni Charkasau, who will present themselves in the repertoire of traditional Belarusian folklore and more.
Chordis Duo is a Polish harp and violin duo. During the concert, the authors will play elements of Irish folk, beautiful songs will inspire to the world of magic and evoke reflection, leaving the audience in reverie for a long time after the concert. Katsiaryna Mankevich & Yauheni Charkasau live and work in Minsk on a daily basis, and the main artistic activity is the music band Dymna Lotva. During this event there will not be a whole band but a specially prepared folk repertoire – mainly Belarusian songs (but not only) by the two founders of this band. Apart from Dymna Lotva, the artists have been privately involved in the development of folk music for many years. She regularly conducts free live concerts on the Internet, combining flute and singing. Katsiaryna Mankevich combines pure melodic vocal with extreme growl vocal and the band specializes in heavy music. Their concert will be a unique experience summarizing emotions and energy after workshops with traditional dances and classical harp.
