Czech Center Berlin
The Czech Center Berlin is part of the network of 22 Czech centers worldwide and is financed by the external ministry of the Czech Republic. It is an active arbiter of Czech culture in Germany and represents the Czech Republic as a modern, dynamic country with a long cultural tradition and big creative potential. The Czech Center Berlin has engaged in dialogue with the German public since 1993 with own events, cooperations with important cultural institutions in the whole country and support of exchange projects.
Since 2012 the Czech Center Berlin is located at Wilhelmstraße at the premises of the Czech embassy. It has an own gallery, class rooms and offices. The program focuses on contemporary art, music, documentaries, literature, design and architecture. Besides, it offers Czech language courses and books by Czech authors in the original language or in german translation from the library can be borrowed for free.
