Cynthia Stern
Håkan Momenth aka Cynthia Stern is an artist from Gotheburg, Sweden, with Icelandic roots. He got his first set of decks in 1993 at the age of 16. At the time, he was one of the first and youngest jungle DJs in the country.
In 1997 he moved to Stockholm and joined the Urban Electro Squad, but his love for hard experimental techno and acid had already started. In 1999 he realized his idea of founding an own imprint and Input – Output Inc. was born.
After several years of touring Cynthia stopped making techno, instead turning towards new wave and minimal synth music, as a part of the bands Colouroid, Video Look and Revigorators. He also set up the label FlexiWave together with Ella Moe.
In 2014 he moved to Berlin and joined the Killekill crew and the crew around Suicide Circus, and not much later the Varvet club night was born.
