The Municipal Cultural Centre is an institution in which local culture has been developing, shaping, creating and supporting local culture since 9 April 1954. Since the 1980s, the basis of the centre's activity has been working with permanent participants in clubs and sections. There are on average 40-45 of them connected with dance, theatre, music, visual arts, hobbies and sport. Every month about 1000 people take advantage of this form of developing their skills and spending their free time. They organize 300 events a year for about 60 thousand recipients, including 10 prestigious exhibitions of famous artists and many other exhibitions in the centre's galleries. The Centre cooperates with many organizations, conducts activities for children, youth and adults, as well as people with disabilities.
