Chatka Żaka

The building of "Chatka Żaka", a former Student Service House, erected in 1962–1965 according to the design of architect Krystyna Różyska-Tołłoczko, despite transformations, is undoubtedly one of the most interesting buildings created in the post-war period in Lublin. Among the buildings of the "Chatka Żaka" academic town, it plays a special role: it is a building with a refined form, a very interesting arrangement of solids and an interesting detail that has been consistently adapted from the rest of the town's buildings. It is also significantly located from the point of view of urban planning of the entire establishment. It is a peculiar keystone of the recreational and residential part of the town with the didactic part on the east side of Sowińskiego Street.
