About Crystal Lake
The band Crystal Lake was founded in 2002 in the Japanese capital Tokyo. The group’s first cast consisted of singer Kentaro Nishimura, guitarists Shinya Hori and Yudai Miyamoto, as well as bassist Seiji Nagasawa and drummer Yusuke Ishihara. After several changes in the band lineup, the group consists of frontman Ryo Kinoshita, the rhythm guitarist Shinya Hori, as well as the lead guitarist Yuddai Miyamoto and drummer Gaku Taura. The quartet will also be supported by bassist Bitoku Sakamoto as a session musician.
The music of Crystal Lake is described as a mix of Metal, Deathcore and Nu Metal. Here, the singing changes between screaming and clear singing. Occasionally sprechgesang is used. On the fifth longplayer, the music becomes a “deathcore bastard, creating blastbeats, djent and hardcore groove facts”.
