Contagious
Electronic, Experimental | Contagious are Sabine Ercklentz, Andrea Neumann and Mieko Suzuki. The trio was formed in summer 2018, creating a tension between club-oriented, danceable and experimental music.
Turntablist Mieko Suzuki has been active in Berlin's club scene for many years and hosts the multidisciplinary Kookoo events at Berlin's Ohm. Ercklentz and Neumann have been two innovative voices of Berlin's music scene. As a trio they seek to discover new aesthetic spaces, entering each other's musical spheres and exchanging experiences. In their fragile sound they layer textures and beats. The outcome are groovy beats imploding into noisy fragments, creating a state of trance.
Contagious is a forward-thinking hypnotic new project with intense and powerful sounds, yet rooted in a tradition of crafting and sculpting beats in creative ways. Their debut album, Contagious, was recorded by Rabih Beaini.
