Skunk Anansie was born radical and has remained so ever since. It's there in their music, which glides effortlessly between confrontation and tenderness, the politically charged and the nakedly emotional, the intangible and attention-grabbing and the quiet and restrained. But it's also found in the essence of the band - the blend of influences, cultures and personalities that have brought them together so successfully.

When the band emerged from the sweaty backrooms of London in 1994, electrifying all who saw them and pushing a shot of adrenaline into the arm of a decadent music scene, it sounded like nothing had existed before them.

Skunk Anansie's legacy is shaped by their past, present and inevitably their future as their contribution to the next generation of music will continue to make its impact as their scholarship offerings and involvement with ACM support the industry's rising stars.

The release of 25LIVE@25 marks another milestone in the band's unrivaled career and is a living, breathing document that Skunk Anansie only exists once and will always exist.
