Ørganek – the group was formed in 2013 on the initiative of its leader, author of texts, stories and music, Tomasz Organek, winner of many prestigious awards, including Mateusz Trójka, Grzegorz Ciechowski Artistic Award of the City of Toruń, Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship Award. Tomasz Organek is also Honorary Ambassador of the Nicolaus Copernicus University and the owner of his own Katarzynka in Piernikowa Aleja Gwiazd. To date, the band has released two full-length albums (Głupi in 2014 – nominated for Fryderyk 2015 in the category Album of the Year Rock and Czarna Madonna in 2016 – Fryderyk 2017 in the category Album of the Year Rock and Song of the Year) – both albums have achieved platinum record status. For two years (2016 – 2017) the band was the core of the Orkiestra Męskiego Grania and is the co-author of two MGO concert records, which were also covered with platinum. Tomasz Organek was the musical director of both editions.
The band consists of: Tomasz Organek (guitar, singing), Adam Staszewski (bass), Tomasz Lewandowski (keyboard instruments), Robert Markiewicz (drums). The band has played several hundred concerts in Poland and abroad (Lithuania, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, Bulgaria), enjoying great interest of the audience and millions of viewers of their music videos. His songs occupy top positions on the charts of Polish radio stations. Ørganek is also a regular visitor of the biggest Polish festivals (including Woodstock Festival, Jarocin Festival, Open’er Festival, Orange Festival, Męskie Granie, European Culture Stadium, CJG Festival, Green Festival and many others).
In autumn of this year, Ørganek releases a supplement to the album Czarna Madonna, which will contain all the songs associated with its activity, which can be treated as a summary of the five-year activity and an introduction to a new stage, which the group wants to start with a new album planned for autumn 2019.
