Opening Night: Poetry of light and shadows

An evening dedicated to poetry and music of Japanese instruments. Experience art inspired by nature, from the gigantic to the tiniest ephemeral phenomena. Write your own haiku with Hiromi Ogata and Pavel Janšta. Listen to the world premiere of Cellular Transformations by Adrian Freedman. Hear the words of Jaromír Typlt and Ivo Hucl. Sounds of Isle Royale will be brought to you by Hélène Seiyu. Jazzman John Kaizan Neptune will present his new work for piano and shakuhachi, and the Romanovská, Tichý, Hrubý trio will close the evening.

The evening will start with a haiku workshop with Hiromi Ogata & Pavel Janšta at 17:00. Music and poetry starts at 19:00
