Käptn Peng & Die Tentakel von Delphi are back with their second band studio album after Expedition into the O of 2013 and according to Peng it is again about certain things (and also feelings). In addition to the tentacle-typical subjects such as madness, enlightenment or bizarre monsters, on Das nullte Kapitel, among other things, the circle number pi is taken apart, hunted with shaven hedgehogs in a crazy dream trip through a hall of mirrors or humankind is gradually swept from the marauding planet. Surrealist lyrics meet rocking sing-along choruses, meta-level meets a secret wink. For the first time on offer: the classical cheesy love song. Produced and recorded again in the band’s own Berlin studio, together with the longtime sound engineer of the band Jens Güttes. While the tentacles, with their musical curiosity of brushes, pots, bicycle bells, concrete tubs, grumbling double basses and prepared guitars, have long been regarded as the hip-hop band with the most dilapidated instruments, a few synthesizer tunes have crept in on the new record and make it even a bit weirder.
