Gisela João + Diego El Cigala
The first day of the Cross-Culture Festival seems to be impressive. Concerts will be given by the Portuguese fado star Gisela João and Diego El Cigala, a Spanish flamenco singer.
Gisela João - her solo debut in 2013, Gisela João, quickly gained platinum status. She combines the classic style of the greatest fado stars with contemporary themes and directions. Gisela also does not avoid other genres: she has performed as a guest artist with Joss Stone, Nicolas Jaar or the group Snarky Puppy. Diego El Cigala - the famous flamenco singer, two-time Grammy winner, from Madrid's flamenco clubs hit the world's biggest stages. He was born into an artistic family of Spanish Roma as Ramón Jiménez Salazar. Initially, he accompanied dancers and the best guitarists, performed and recorded with Paco de Lucia, Tomatito and Vicente Amigo. In 1997 he began his solo career, and the great breakthrough was the album Lágrimas Negras from 2003, recorded with the legend of Cuban music, Bebo Valdés.
