Dezerter is a punk rock band that was formed in Warsaw in May 1981. The group adopted the provocative name SS-20, which was forced to change during martial law. Already as Dezerter, the band recorded the single "Towards the Future" (1983). In 1985, there were two compilations with Dezerter's songs: "Wave" and "Jak punk to punk". 1987 brought the release of Maximum Rock'n'Roll in USA to the first full-length album by Deezer "Underground Out Of Poland" and the first (censored) album in the country - "Collaboration". 1989 was another album - "Collaboration II", and 1990 - "Everyone Against All" (published in Poland and France) and a two-month tour of Western Europe (Switzerland, Germany, France, the Netherlands) and Japan.

Subsequent years of activity brought important records for the Polish independent scene, including "Blasfemia" (1992), "How many percent of the soul?" (1994), "I have fangs I have claws" (1996), "Earth is flat" (1997). In the 21st century, three studio albums were published: "Illegal Time Killer" (2004); "The right to be an idiot" (2010), which was appreciated not only by listeners, but also exceptionally by the music industry, which was reflected in the Fryderyk award 2010; and "Greater Eat Less" (2014). In 2016, after 33 years, the single "Towards the Future" was resumed. In February 2019, the premiere mini-album "Hate 100%" was released.
