The Latvian trio of Carnival Youth is the internationally most successful indie band in the Baltic States, which was proved by the award of the European Border Breakers Award at the Eurosonic Festival 2016. In recent years, they have released three studio albums and toured throughout Europe, including festivals such as the Reeperbahn, The Great Escape, SXSW and Sziget.
In August 2019, Carnival Youth release their new album Good Luck. It was recorded last summer in São Paulo, Brazil, and the band was able to convince their musical idols to collaborate: Nicolas Vernhes was doing the mix, Grammy winner for producing the album A Deeper Understanding for The War On Drugs. Good Luck was mastered by Greg Calbi, who has worked with bands like The National and Arcade Fire.
