Batmobile were founded in 1983 in Holland. After spending months covering Elvis Presley, Johnny Burnette and Gene Vincent, decided Jeroen Haamers (vocals / guitar), Johnny Zuidhof (drums) and Eric Haamers (double bass) to write and record their own songs.

In 1985 the first Batmobile album with 7 pieces was recorded, which immediately attracted international attention. Batmobile was the first non-British band to headline international festivals.

The band spent the next 15 years touring around the world, including playing at the legendary clubfoot in London. Incidentally, the band released several albums that never sounded the same. The boys hate to repeat themselves. They succeeded in reproducing the entire spectrum of the varieties of Rock'n'Roll over the years. Always new, always interesting, always Batmobile. Legendary are their Jukebox Tour concerts in the late 90s where the audience was allowed to decide on each song which title was played.
