Antje Rietz, the singer with the trumpet, presents elegant swing, emotional jazz, old hits and chansons in her new concert program and it’s raining rain drops, pennies from heaven or red roses.
Her versatile voice, the warm sound of her flugelhorn and the three thoroughbred musicians at the piano, bass and drums create a diverse and atmospheric evening with songs by Hildegard Knef, Frank Sinatra, Herb Alpert or Louis Prima. And of course the music of one of the most beautiful musicals of the 50s can not be missing: Singin' in the Rain. Inspired by this film classic with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds, Antje Rietz exchanges her sprakling high heels for tapping shoes. Her band consists of Harry Ermer (piano, harmonica), Moe Jaksch (bass, zither) and Florian Achatzy (drums, percussion).
