Amparanoia

The album El coro de mi gente, released in 2017 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band, is a very special project. Musicians such as Joan Garriga, Manu Chao, DePedro, Chambao, Sergent Garcia, Marinah and Calexico recorded with them as guest musicians new interpretations of well-known Amparanoia songs. Together with Macaco Amparo also contributes to the title track of the same album, which is in the face of the independence conflicts of Spain for cohesion and peace. Amparo's distinctive voice runs like a red thread through the varied versions of the old pieces and ensures, despite different influences, that the album is immediately identified as the work of Amparanoia.

After the publication of the anniversary album of the Mestizo legends in 2017, 2018 was the first time in 10 years on tour through the German-speaking areas. The band was enthusiastically received by the fans at sold-out shows, among others in the trendy Stadtgarten in Cologne, at Lido Berlin and also at Treibhaus Innsbruck.
